After 3 years of having this account, and various cycles of inactivity, I decided to make a new account and start fresh.
However, I won't deactivate, but instead delete my submissions, wipe my page clean of everything on there, then have the first few comments on my page hidden.
I already have a list of people that I'm going to rewatch on the new account, but if anyone reading this cares to know what my new account will be, send me a note and I'll rewatch you there.

I AM A NONBELIEVER

When I first saw this new "Core" membership that dA came out with, I thought that it was an upgrade from your standard PM with new features.
Turns out that it's the same thing, just with a new name and less payment options.
So if you were like me and bought 1 month memberships for around 5 to 6 dollars, you can kiss that goodbye: Now your cheapest option is getting charged $15.00 every 3 months, with the next option being charged $50 yearly.
But it turns out that you can still purchase 1 month memberships as a gift for others rather than one for yourself. (Unless you have a second account and give the membership to your main.)
The way I see it, it has that kind of motto which says "Selfishness has a price to pay, but selflessness is cheap.", and that's really sad, because some people actually put in good amounts of money to get gifts for their friends & family, while others buy cheap things for themselves, and some just do both.
I guess it's a good thing that you don't have to repurchase a membership after 3 months or a year, but if you really want to enjoy this new Core membership, you gotta start saving your money for both the product & for automatic re-billing, which I'm pretty sure that most people can do when it comes to 3 months & 1 year rather than 1 month.
Personally, since I can no longer get monthly memberships for a conveniently low price without using a second account to buy gifts for myself, I'd rather use $15 to buy music or get a cheap video game.
But if you think that the new Core memberships are a good thing & you'd like to buy it, I won't stop you.
I'm just disappointed that there's no longer a cheaper option for deviants that don't put as much money into this site for themselves as others, but would still like to have some premium benefits for a little while.
